Triple Action Menopause Formula
FEEL LIKE YOURSELF AGAIN
A Natural Alternative to HRT
No Hormones Included
This is not a medical approach to perimenopause. It contains no oestrogen, progesterone or other human hormones. Instead, it harnesses the power of plants that women have trusted for centuries to help ease menopausal symptoms. Modern extraction techniques concentrate their beneficial compounds, providing targeted, natural support when your body needs it most.
Phytoestrogens - The Plant Alternative
Red clover, Sage and Shatavari do contain phytoestrogens. These naturally occurring plant isoflavones can interact with human oestrogen receptors and produce gentle oestrogen-like effects, but these are chemically different from artificial hormones.
Perimenopause is Not Just About Hormones
Perimenopause puts certain body processes under unprecedented strain, demanding higher-than-before levels of certain nutrients to keep everything working as it should. Our nutritional support is carefully balanced for your mental performance, thyroid function, metabolism and mood-controlling neurotransmitters - more than you would get from hormones alone.

Frequently Asked Questions about Swallow Menopause Daily
This formula is designed for women going through perimenopause and menopause who want comprehensive nutritional and botanical support rather than a basic multivitamin. It is particularly suited to women noticing changes in brain fog, focus and mood; hormonal balance and hot flushes; or energy and libido.
Rather than trying to address everything with one “menopause herb”, we combine concentrated botanical extracts with active forms of vitamins and minerals to support several of the biological pathways that become particularly relevant during this stage of life.
We built the formula around three of the areas women commonly tell us change most during perimenopause:
Brain Fog, Focus & Mood: Bacopa alongside vitamins B5, B12 and folate provides targeted cognitive, psychological and nervous-system support.
Hormonal Balance & Hot Flushes: Red clover provides 80 mg of phytoestrogen isoflavones, concentrated sage has been studied for menopausal sweating and hot flushes, shatavari has emerging research in menopausal women, and vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity.
Energy & Libido: A substantial 10:1 maca extract is combined with zinc and selenium to support vitality, normal metabolism, reproductive health and thyroid function.
It is this combination of targeted botanicals and essential nutrients that makes the formula much broader than a conventional menopause multivitamin.
No, it contains no oestrogen, progesterone or other human hormones, and it is not a herbal version of HRT.
Red clover does contain phytoestrogens – naturally occurring plant isoflavones that can interact with oestrogen receptors – but these are chemically different from the hormones used in HRT.
The rest of the formula works through other nutritional and botanical pathways. Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity; B5 supports mental performance; B12 and folate support psychological function; selenium supports normal thyroid function; and the botanical extracts have been selected for areas including cognition, hot flushes, vitality and sexual wellbeing.
HRT is a medical treatment that replaces hormones. This is a food supplement designed to provide nutritional and botanical support during perimenopause and menopause, so the two should not be considered equivalent.
Most menopause multivitamins start with a collection of vitamins and minerals and then add relatively small quantities of herbs. We approached the formula the other way around.
We started with the areas we wanted the formula to address and selected meaningful doses and concentrated extracts for each one: 200 mg of Bacopa standardised to 50% bacosides, 80 mg of red clover isoflavones, 400 mg of 10:1 sage, 500 mg of 10:1 shatavari and 1,000 mg of 10:1 maca.
We then added carefully selected vitamins and minerals in forms including P5P vitamin B6, methylfolate, methylcobalamin B12, zinc bisglycinate and L-selenomethionine.
So it isn't simply a multivitamin with a few herbs added for the label. The botanicals form a major part of the formula.
Because they provide two very different approaches to one of the most recognisable experiences of menopause.
Red clover provides 80 mg of isoflavones, including biochanin A, formononetin, genistein and daidzein. These naturally occurring phytoestrogens can interact with oestrogen receptors and have been extensively researched in menopausal women.
Sage approaches things differently. Our 400 mg 10:1 extract is equivalent to 4,000 mg of whole sage leaf, and sage has a long history of use for excessive perspiration as well as clinical research into menopausal hot flushes and sweating.
Rather than relying on a single botanical, using red clover and sage together gives the formula a broader rationale for the hot-flush and temperature-regulation side of perimenopause.
Brain fog can feel like much more than forgetting where you left your keys. Concentration, recall, mental stamina and psychological wellbeing can all feel different during perimenopause, so we built a dedicated cognitive pillar into the formula.
Bacopa Monnieri is the principal nootropic: 200 mg of extract standardised to an unusually high 50% bacosides, providing 100 mg of bacosides per serving. Bacopa has been studied for aspects of memory, attention and cognitive performance.
We then support it nutritionally with vitamin B5, which contributes to normal mental performance; vitamin B12 and folate, which contribute to normal psychological function; and B12, which also supports normal functioning of the nervous system.
This gives you both targeted botanical support and the essential nutrients the brain and nervous system rely upon.
Loss of energy and loss of libido often get described as simply “losing your mojo” – which is exactly why we gave them their own pillar in the formula.
Maca is the centrepiece: 1,000 mg of a concentrated 10:1 extract, equivalent to 10,000 mg of whole maca root. Maca has a long history of use for stamina and vitality, and small human studies have also investigated its effects on female sexual wellbeing.
Zinc supports normal fertility and reproduction and is needed by enzymes involved in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism, making it relevant to both hormonal health and the way the body processes nutrients.
Selenium contributes to normal thyroid function. Because thyroid hormones play a central role in metabolic rate and energy regulation, we felt thyroid support belonged naturally within this part of the formula.
Together, these ingredients make the energy and libido pillar about more than simply adding another B vitamin.
Vitamins and minerals are required continuously, while botanical research typically assesses ingredients such as Bacopa, red clover and shatavari over a period of several weeks. For that reason, consistency matters more than judging the formula after a few individual doses.
As a practical guide, 8–12 weeks of consistent daily use gives you a much more meaningful period in which to assess how the formula suits you.
This formula is not designed to be taken in addition to HRT. It contains concentrated herbal extracts called phytoestrogens (plant forms of oestrogen) including red clover and sage.
We do not recommend automatically combining it with HRT or prescription medication without checking first. In general, if you take HRT and still suffer with menopause problems you should see your GP to manage them medically.
If you use HRT, prescription medication or regularly take other supplements, show the ingredient list to your GP or pharmacist before starting it. This is particularly important because herbal ingredients can interact with medicines even though they are naturally derived.
This product is intended for adult women and should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Because red clover contains phytoestrogens, women who have or have previously had a hormone-sensitive cancer or another hormone-sensitive medical condition should speak to their doctor before using it.
You should also check with your GP or pharmacist before taking the formula if you use prescription medicines, particularly medicines that affect blood clotting, or if you are receiving medical treatment for menopausal symptoms.
Because the name of an ingredient only tells you part of the story. Its concentration, standardisation, nutrient form and dose all matter.
Our Bacopa is standardised to 50% bacosides, giving 100 mg of bacosides from a 200 mg serving. Our red clover provides 80 mg of actual isoflavones, rather than simply stating the total weight of red clover on the label.
Sage, maca and shatavari are concentrated 10:1 extracts, providing the equivalent of 4,000 mg sage leaf, 10,000 mg maca root and 5,000 mg shatavari root respectively.
For the micronutrients, we use selected forms including P5P vitamin B6, L-5-MTHF folate, methylcobalamin B12, zinc bisglycinate and L-selenomethionine.
It makes the formula more expensive to produce, but it also means the specification behind each ingredient is clear rather than relying on an impressive-looking list of generic herbs and vitamins.
Yes, this is a fully vegan supplement containing nothing derived from animals.
No. At Swallow, we believe everything in the capsule should have a good reason for being there.
The formula contains the active botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals, the vegetable capsule shell and a small amount of bamboo extract standardised to 75% silica, which acts as the flow agent needed during capsule production. SIlica isa nutrient useful for bone health.
We use bamboo extract for this manufacturing purpose rather than filling the formulation with a long list of conventional bulking agents, colours and synthetic anti-caking additives.

Scientific Research on Swallow Menopause Daily Ingredients
Bacopa monnieri
Bacopa has evidence for effects on cognitive performance, particularly speed of attention. A meta-analysis identified nine placebo-controlled trials enrolling 518 participants; pooled analyses of eligible data found improvements in Trail Making Test B and choice-reaction time. The included studies used standardised Bacopa extracts for at least 12 weeks.
Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials on cognitive effects of Bacopa monnieri extract — Chuenjid Kongkeaw et al.

Red Clover
Red clover contains isoflavones with phytoestrogenic activity. A 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis of nine randomised controlled trials found that red clover supplementation produced a modest but statistically significant reduction in menopausal hot-flush frequency compared with placebo.

Maca Root
Maca has been investigated for sexual desire and sexual function. A systematic review identified four randomised controlled trials, three of which reported positive findings involving sexual desire or sexual dysfunction, including research in menopausal women. However, the trials were few and generally small, so the reviewers concluded that the evidence remained insufficient for firm conclusions.
Maca (L. meyenii) for improving sexual function: a systematic review — Byung-Cheul Shin et al.

Shatavari
Shatavari is traditionally associated with female wellbeing and contains steroidal saponins known as shatavarins. In an eight-week, three-arm randomised controlled trial involving 135 women, Shatavari alone improved total Menopause Rating Scale scores and hot-flush frequency compared with placebo by week eight. However, between-group quality-of-life differences were not statistically significant, while the mood and stress findings for Shatavari alone were mixed. The Shatavari–Ashwagandha combination generally produced stronger results. Because the study used a specific standardised extract, the findings should not be assumed to apply equally to every Shatavari preparation.

Zinc
Zinc is required for the catalytic activity of hundreds of enzymes and is involved in immune function, DNA and protein synthesis, wound healing, cell signalling and cell division. Zinc deficiency can affect multiple tissues, including the skin, while more marked deficiency has been associated with hair loss and changes in cognitive or psychological function.

Sage
Sage has been studied specifically for menopausal hot flushes and sweating. In an eight-week open-label study involving 71 menopausal women, hot-flush frequency and severity progressively decreased during treatment with a specific fresh sage-leaf preparation. However, the study did not include a placebo group, so it cannot establish that sage itself caused the observed improvement.

Lion’s Mane — Cognition
Lion’s Mane has been investigated in adults with mild cognitive impairment. In a small placebo-controlled trial involving 30 adults, cognitive-scale scores were significantly higher with Lion’s Mane than with placebo at weeks 8, 12 and 16. Scores declined after supplementation stopped. The study did not establish the biological mechanism responsible for the result, and it tested a particular mushroom preparation rather than every form of Lion’s Mane extract.

Lion’s Mane — Mood and Anxiety
Lion’s Mane has also been investigated for mood and psychological wellbeing. In a four-week randomised study involving 30 women, depression and nonspecific-complaint scores fell from baseline in the Lion’s Mane group. However, only two individual complaint measures were significantly better than placebo, while concentration, irritability and anxiety showed non-significant trends. The study therefore provides preliminary rather than conclusive evidence.

Selenium
Selenium is an essential component of selenoproteins involved in antioxidant defence and thyroid-hormone metabolism. Maintaining an adequate selenium intake is necessary for these normal physiological functions. However, this does not establish that additional selenium will improve energy, mood, body weight, temperature regulation or hair condition in people who already have adequate selenium status.

Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid, is required to produce coenzyme A and is therefore fundamental to the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Deficiency can cause symptoms including fatigue, headache, irritability, restlessness and disturbed sleep, although true pantothenic-acid deficiency is extremely rare outside severe malnutrition or artificial experimental conditions.

Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 is required for numerous reactions involving amino-acid metabolism, neurotransmitter production, haemoglobin formation and energy metabolism. Deficiency can contribute to anaemia, fatigue, depression and confusion. Vitamin B6 has also been investigated for mood changes, irritability and other cyclical symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome, but many studies have been small or methodologically limited, so firm conclusions remain difficult.

Folate / Methylfolate
Folate is essential for normal red-blood-cell formation, DNA synthesis and one-carbon metabolism. Deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, difficulty concentrating, irritability, headaches and palpitations. Low folate status has also been associated with depression in some studies, and proposed mechanisms include effects on methylation and neurotransmitter synthesis, although the clinical significance remains uncertain.
Folate — Health Professional Fact Sheet — NIH Office of Dietary Supplements

Folic acid has also been investigated specifically for menopausal hot flushes. An early hypothesis paper proposed that folic acid might influence hot flushes through central serotonin and noradrenaline signalling and presented preliminary supporting findings.

Vitamin B12 / Methylcobalamin
Vitamin B12 is essential for normal red-blood-cell formation, DNA synthesis and maintenance of the nervous system. Deficiency can cause fatigue, palpitations, cognitive changes, numbness and tingling. Maintaining adequate B12 status is particularly important in people with low dietary intake or impaired absorption. These physiological roles apply to vitamin B12 generally and do not, by themselves, establish that methylcobalamin is clinically superior to other permitted forms of vitamin B12.
